![]() ![]() But regardless of what path the answer would travel, it would start with: “Well…” It would be said with a smile, or a rueful shake of the head. The other was the start of a conversation, an offer to sit and enjoy the company and the companionship that can only be found at the end of a long day of driving. More of a, “How are you doing, how is the car, how were the roads, nice to see you,” all rolled into one small question. One as a casual line used in lieu of a greeting. I am done with you.“How was the drive?” The question was asked in one of two ways. I still have a lot of friends and customers tjat keep me apprised of ypur slander. Once again, you feel like you can attack me because you ate a petty little troll, and think I am not around. I still have EVERY record of emails, texts, and screen shots of threads to prove my side. I dropped all of this shit, and moved on with my life and business because mu life doesnt revolve around being a forum troll, amd needrd to take care of the things that happened on my end. I am not in the sales world, cars or parts 3 magazone writeups, a Rodders Journal cover car don't lie.įWIW I have no affiliation with the car that started this thread. Sll of my work is on my terms, 90% of it is still Porsches, but yeah, I have sworn off 914"s strictly due to 3 customers in particular. Not wishy washy, mind changing, cheap ass, wanna be player that can't afford proper work and expect to be put in front of existing customers because their car geys them the attention their daddy never have them, then stab me in the back for doing EXACTLY what they asked me to do and approved of. Rest assured I am alive and well with a shop full of customers cars that know what they want and can afford it to be done right. I think both Scotty’s have burned all their bridges and disappeared from the Porsche scene. So while you may have not had a good experience sending your car to him, which like I said can be a subjective ordeal, I have had nothing but a kind friend. ![]() He did this not for pay or glory but just because he is a friend. He worked non-stop all day and even woke his parents up at 1AM when we showed up to dump two cars and two truckloads of parts at their farm. He saw I needed help and showed up, unannounced, just because. What I can tell you about the picture above, and this isn't subjective, just the truth, is that the pic was taken about halfway through a 17 hour day where Scott volunteered to help me out because I was 500 miles from home and in a really tight spot. Lots of "But you said." and "What did I pay for?" You weren't happy with the time frame for the work done on your car.īut both of those things are pretty subjective, he said, she said, I thought, you thought, etc. You weren't happy with the work done on your car.Ģ. I don't know what you're referring to but I can guess it's a story we've all heard before countless times. send him your car for work and see what you get. Hopefully this will show up in google search results. The missing orange paint above the rear bumper is still there from when I had AAA push me with their truck to bump start the carĮdit: adding VIN number in case any potential buyers google the VIN. When you put this car on a lift without the top on, the door gaps changed a truly scary amount.Īside from the bigger engine and the roll bar the car has now, it looks like absolutely no other work has been done to the car since I sold it back in 2014. Just about every inch of this car is rusty and basically held together with chicken wire and bondo. You know it's bad when a shop that made their livelihood from restoring 914's tells you your car is so bad that even they don't want to work on it. It was so bad that when I took it to Black Forest Racing in Denver, NC to get a quote from them on rust repair, they wouldn't even give me a number and told me to sell the car as fast as I can. The longs on this car are toast, there are multiple holes in the floors and inner fenders, and the entire thing is loaded with bondo. (It's a long story if you weren't around on the forum back in 2013-14) The 72 rust bucket that former, and currently banned, forum member ScottyBoy sold me, is for sale for an absurd price. I wasn't sure whether to post this in the garage or the classifieds. ![]()
